The Phoenix Blues Society is proud to be bringing the 2012 Blues Blast Festival to the Margaret T. Hance Park in downtown Phoenix. Easy access by car and light rail all contributed to the choice of venue and we look forward to producing a family friendly, secure event in the middle of the city with support from the Arizona Rangers and the Phoenix Police Department.
Headlining this year's Blues Blast is Severn recording artist, Sugar Ray & the Bluetones, hot on the heels of their current release, Evening. Nominated for five Blues Music Awards, including Band of the Year, Sugar Ray & the Bluetones are looking forward to bringing their best to the Valley. The other artists featured at this year's Blues Blast include: Dave Riley & Bob Corritore, the Sugar Thieves, Big Daddy D & the Dynamites, George Bowman & the Baddboyz Blues Band Featuring Lucius Parr, the 2011 Arizona Blues Showdown champion - Common Ground Blues Band and Stefan Wilde will sing the national anthem.
The gates will open at 10:00 am and the festival will start promptly at 11:00 am. Be sure to bring your festival chairs & sunscreen to ensure the best festival experience possible. See you there!
